SUMMARYThis aim of this project is to create a GPS tracking system for a Harley motorcycle. The GPS Tracking system is supposed to send cordinates back to a server and store them in a database. it will also take pictures of the area and upload them to the server. The user will then be able to log on to a webpage and view the trips they have taken based on the GPS coordiantes stored in the database. Along with this, the user can view the pictures taken by the camera. Other features like remote start and lights on/off will also be implemented using which the user can control the bike from the website, after logging in to his/her account.

CURRENT STATUSThe team was successfully able to take pictures from the camera attached to the chip, and upload them to the database, where they are stored in BLOB formats. Currently the team is working on creating a logic loop for the whole program, and integrating the various API's. The website displays the coordinates and trips taken for the selected bike. The user also has an option to select a range of dates for which they want to view the trips, or view eah trip separately. The team is currently rsearching on using two modem's to its advantage so that the time taken to transfer a picture is less. |
